DICK HERMANS, who hosts New Harmony on Saturday mornings, is a native of northern Dutchess County who did his first folk music show on WKZE in 1987. He is the founder and co-owner, with his daughter Suzanna, of Oblong Books & Music in Millerton and Rhinebeck. He lives in Pine Plains with his wife, singer Priscilla Herdman. Dick is active with the Millerton Business Group and the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association.
